Weight Loss the Healthy Way: Without Using Diet Pills
It is hard to turn on the television, read a magazine, or even surf the internet without coming across an ad for the latest diet trend or secret. Unfortunately due to busier lifestyles, excessive eating of fast foods, and lets face it… pure laziness… as a society we are getting fatter.
Due to those same busy schedules, people are looking for a quick fix; an easy and fast way to lose weight without a lot of effort or time required. Plenty of people have found ways to capitalize on this weight loss infatuation by selling bogus diet programs and products that make unsubstantiated claims. Even worse that are the diet pills that go unregulated because they claim to have natural herbals which do not have to be tested by the FDA. Not only do they not promote weight loss, but they can also have unexpected side effects or reactions because they have not been tested.
Often with these diet pills and natural supplements, they explode on the scene with expansive marketing campaigns, sell millions, and then disappear just as fast once people realize that they don’t really work. You also have the extreme end of the supplement line, such as Ephedrine, which can actually result in complications and death.
Taking these so-called weight loss pills is like taking your life into your hands. Even some of the crazy diet fabs that suggest just eating one for for a week, or only drinking juice every day can be dangerous. While they may lead to some immediate weight loss, in the long run they actually result in gaining more excess body fat. So if fad diets and diet pills don’t work, what are the options?
It is a proven fact, that the only way to lose weight and keep it off is a fundamental change in your diet and regular exercise. Most people rely on what manufacturers tell them about the products they are selling, to determine if a particular food product is healthy or not. This is one of the biggest mistakes that people often make when trying to lose weight. So-called health bars can actually lead to additional weight gain!
Most people also try to cobble together their own workout program at the gym, which only leads them to disappointment and frustration when they don’t see results. Without proper guidance, the average person will not see the results they are looking for and will just end up spending excess time in the gym.
Proper guidance is out there if you really look for it. I found a great program that not only gave me a workout program that I could use in and outside of a gym, but it also gave with a nutritional guideline that helped change my eating habits. It is a book called The Truth About Abs (don’t be fooled by the name). While it does show you how to get a slim waste with ripped abs, it is much more than that. The author is a certified nutritional specialist and certified personal trainer, so he combines the best of both worlds. The program showed me how to not only lose the weight, but it also showed me how to keep it off.
There are plenty of other programs similar the one that I used, but it may require some research. Before you decide to take the easy way for a temporary solution to your weight loss needs, put some research into a program that combines a balance of diet and exercise.
I was looking to shed a couple of pounds and was overwhelmed by all the weight loss and fat burning programs on the market, so I created my own review site. For unbiased reviews of the top fitness and weight loss programs, visit http://www.thefitnessbookreview.com

Trying to burn belly fat fast is not a tough thing to do, though it can seem that way if you are trying to go about it the wrong way. This articles will show you some simple ways you can start to burn belly fat without jumping on the next crazy diet bandwagon or using an infomercial gimmick that promises easy results in just “6 minutes per day”.
How to Burn Belly Fat Fast
Tip #1 – Avoid “quick fix” diets that promise overnight results
There are a lot of different “quick fixes”, but what you really want to avoid is using a “crash diet“. A crash diet essentially means that you try to starve yourself by purposely eating as little as possible in hopes it will help you burn fat. For example, many people try to eat only one meal a day and try to maintain this as a lifestyle. A crash diet will only cause you more grief then results. It will put your body into starvation mode and crash your metabolism. You may lose some belly fat but in the long run your metabolism will slow down and you will lose muscle mass. This makes it even harder to burn belly fat.
Don’t use a crash diet. Try to eat 5-6 smaller meals in a day. This will keep you full, and will prevent spikes in your blood sugar. Eating high quality protein (such as chicken, turkey, fish, tuna etc) will help you lose your belly fat as these foods take a lot of energy to digest.
Vitamin rich foods packed with minerals and high nutritional value such as fruits and vegetables will help you lose your belly fat because they are not very calorie dense. This means you can eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and not consume as many calories as you would eating processed food.
This helps you burn belly fat and do it fast because you are essentially eating more food but consuming fewer calories.
Tip #2 – Really push yourself when you workout!
If you do intense workouts as opposed to workouts where you never really push yourself, then you will be on the right track to burn belly fat fast. Pushing yourself hard when you workout gets your metabolism going and it will keep it elevated so you keep burning calories long after you are finished working out.
The trick is to push your self hard for short periods of time. Not for a long, extended workout.
Try the following exercises and read the instructions below. You will feel a huge difference between the intensity of this vs. your old workouts.
12 bodyweight squats
15 dumbbell swings
12 pushups
Do this series of exercises and do as many rounds as you can in 10 minutes. You will feel how intense this workout is if you do this!
Tip 3 – Instead of doing long, slow cardio, try doing intervals
Interval training will help you burn belly fat fast because it will help boost your metabolism for hours after you are done working out. High intensity interval training switches back and forth from high and low intensities, so you are still pushing your self out of your comfort zone for short, quick bursts.
Since you alternate between these intensities in a very meticulous way, you will find yourself working much harder than before. 20 minutes of interval training often feels like 60 minutes of normal, same speed cardio!
The 21st Century 6 Pack Abs Training workouts will show you how to get a flat stomach without ever having again having to do any boring crunches or sit ups.
